Particulate matter measurement is usually performed on an engine test bench or chassis dynamometer, but recently European and US authorities have introduced new test methods for testing directly under actual road test conditions. The Italian ControlSistem company has developed particulate sampling systems for nearly 20 years, of which Cam-20 is fully compliant with European and American authorities and ISO international standards for laboratory engine test bench and chassis dynamometer particulate sampling systems. This is why the European Commission included Control Sistem in its working group on PEMS (Portable Emission Measurement Systems) during the study of new vehicle-mounted emissions regulations. Dnbios-Cam is the result of this engagement. The Dnbios-Cam uses the same technology as the standard certification system (partial flow dilution and filter paper collection), so the test results fully comply with all major regulations for test bed and on-board testing.
